I found this old side table from my go-to online used furniture shop, Craigslist for $10 . I loved the shape of the legs and the metal caps on the bottom of the legs.
And it was just 10 dollars. It was more than enough for the price. I bought it thinking to place it between two side chairs that I donated for the pastor’s room (The total makeover will be revealed soon) and the size was perfect.
I wiped out all the dust and stains with a wet towel first and then a dry towel.
After all the dirty residue was gone, I applied mahogany colored stain/finish once for the body for an easy work and 4 coats of white paint on the top. I didn’t even bother to apply primer before I painted the laminate top. Between the coats, I waited a few hours of course.
While the painting dried, I sprayed the pull with gold metallic paint and applied gold leaf liquid to the caps of the legs. I was too lazy to tape the legs to spray paint them the same color as the pull.
Now it looks much more handsome and eye catch-able. What do you think?
